The Last 8 weeks

Just wanted to make a list of some of the things that have happened over the last 8 Weeks.

Jan 18- Got our first positive pregnancy test, about 20 later I believed that I was indeed pregnant. (3 weeks 5 days)
Jan 24- Ended up going to the walk-in clinc. Had the pregnancy confirmed via doctor test and was diagnosed with bronchitis. Was also sent to get a dating ultrasound done due to having Mirena and no normal cycle.
Jan 25- Went for ultrasound and didn't see the screen or get any news, was told to wait for my doctor to call me. I was crushed and really sad and upset. I thought the worst was happening.
Jan 26- I finally heard back from my doctor and found out that they did see something just not enough to confirm if it was a viable pregnancy. Felt better but was still very scared.
Jan 27- Started spotting and thought the worst again, almost went to ER. But every time I was going to go it stopped.
Jan 28- Spotting continued but was very light, eventually stopping by afternoon. We were going to tell his parents but were weary with the spotting. We decided that we would tell them no matter the outcome. Told them and they were ecstatic
Feb 2- Had to take our dogs to my Mom's as we were going on vacation on the 3rd. Told her our news and she was excited.
Feb 3-16- Left for Phoenix, AZ. First plane ride pregnant, I normally have a few drinks to relax but obivously could not. It was okay. I bought a box of 2 digital tests as they are way cheaper than in Canada (really, its way to fun to pee on things). Went shopping for lots of baby stuff and maternity clothes, as its cheaper and with more selection. We attented our first PGA tour event, the waste amnagement open, and had a blast. Also went to a Coyotes/Avalanch hockey game (Feb 7) and a Suns/Golden State Warriors game (Feb 10). We also played 10 rounds of golf, very tiring but worth it. My food aversions and tiredness really kicked in while were there and ended up telling the friends we were staying with. It wasn't much of a secret as just when we told them we had something to share, they jumped up and yelled "shes pregnant". Guess sleeping all the time , not drinking and not wanting food gives it away pretty quick.
Feb 17- Went for follow up ultrasound, seen baby and its heartbeat. Such a relief, happiest moment in my life so far for sure. I thought for sure something was wrong and was so relieved to see that everything was fine.

  1. Congrats to you on your pregnancy!!! So exciting! I tracked mine each week (you can find it on my blog) and I'm so glad I did because now with subsequent pregnancies I can compare and I can remember exactly when certain things happened (bad and good!). CONGRATS!
